Me: Apples are good because they're green.
Them: Apples are lame!
Me: I don't think apples are lame because I enjoy the color green.
Them: Wheelbarrows are useful! What is wrong with you?
Me: Wheelbarrows? What do they have to do with apples?
Them: HAHA I WON!

Did anyone else in the universe have a speech and debate class, or was it just me?

Haha, your post is just extra timely then. That list is dormant 99% of the time, but then today it erupted into a manny/jeremy flamewar that was exactly the same pattern as what you said, only with a huge wall of text instead of single lines.
