I love the ad campaign for upcoming series True Blood on HBO. First there were all the posters with the blood substitute drink and now there are for/against posters about political vampire stuff.
I don't think it was for True Blood, but I saw some other poster for I guess a vampire movie that was like a profile face of a vampire wistfully looking down in half shadows, and a super lame slogan like "Love isn't the only thing that never dies". It was like the most generic, stereotypical vampire movie poster ever. Eye-rollingly bad. Try harder, Hollywood, try harder!
Hahah, Twilight. I borrowed the first book from a coworker and it was alright, and then she gave me the second one for my birthday. It's weird that a NYTimes best seller was about angsty teenage vampires, but whatever. I went to pick up the third one, and couldn't find it in the bookstore. Finally I asked and the girl delightedly led me over to the young adult section where the three book series covered an entire bookcase. heh, d'oh.
The strangest thing so far about it is that the movie previews are word for word accurate to the book. I thought Hollywood was forbidden from doing that.
Haha, Twilight, I think? It's a young adult novel. I read the first 1/4th of the book (just borrowed it for a day and had to give it back) and it was alright. Haven't felt the need to own it to finish it, but I can definitely see why teen girls are into it. The movie posters are awful!!
