I went on a small adventure and woke up at 5:30am so that I could go stand in line w/[livejournal.com profile] thejokersgirl & our friend Gentle to meet Tim Burton @ the Virgin Megastore. We didn't actually get there 'til 7 though 'cause although we are ninjas, we are slow ninjas who are cranky before 11am. I'm not actually a huuuuge Tim Burton fan, but it was super fun! For some reason the time flew by, and the only downside was the cold. I got an autograph for [livejournal.com profile] ghost_girl, and saw assorted LJ friends. :) Tim was really sweet and cordial, as one would expect. [livejournal.com profile] thejokersgirl and I (and her original Nightmare Before Christmas movie poster) got photographed by Tim's PR guy and he got our names, 'cause we were ninjas and at the front of the line. I eagerly await a completely unflattering photo of myself to appear somewhere that I'll never find in the near future. ahahaha. Instead of talking about how his animation influences my art/career/etc, I said something extraordinarily eloquent along the lines of "hi, yay, hi!". Go team Aniline. I think the fact that I was trying to regain feeling in my hands didn't help. Then I said some stuff about how I needed an autograph for my twin sister, etc, etc, which he thought was nice. Small talk ensued, then I was ushered on by security. Then they gave us pretty good free stuff (parting gifts!) and we went on our merry way. Fortunately the snow managed to hold off, avoiding a dreadful yet inevitable What's This sing-along that I feared.

p.s. I'm selling a cute purse + other stuff on ebay.

It was really fun. I was surprised at how fast it went!

I also saw some guy from Seinfeld on the way towards food later. That was weird. The big guy with glasses. Newman, I think.
