I ventured out to Panic at the Disco last night. (Openers were Phantom Planet, the Hush Sound, Motion City Soundtrack). I timed it perfectly so that I arrived for the first song of MCS's set, since I only like one PP song and had no desire to see the Hush Sound. I saw them later w/out their lead singer, wandering about Times Square. Overall I have to say that if that's Roseland when it's sold out, I can't imagine how roomy it would be when it's not. The sound was great and it was completely effortless to get about 10-20 people back from the stage. It helped that the crowd was the friendly, "let's sing along to every song because we know every lyric to every song" type of crowd that I've been encountering more and more often. The type where everyone jumps up and down in unison while grinning at each other and singing along without being obnoxious about it. It was fun. I enjoyed their stage show so much more when they were still in their vaudeville/circus phase though. I loved *everything* about Lucent Dossier.
