I bought two rubber ducks for the Special Olympics fundraiser tomorrow. It's not a cause I'm particularly invested in, but I saw a cute ad on TV and was suddenly struck with this great urge to have 2 little duckies racing. The amount of joy I get thinking about having two little rubber ducks bobbing along and floating through the water like a crazy carnival game is totally worth $10.
Here's the official text;
For each $5 donation one makes to Special Olympics New York a cool little rubber racing duck will be adopted in their name and entered into the race with a chance to win one Million Dollars, and other great prizes. These cool little ducks will race from the Brooklyn Bridge to the South Street Seaport on Monday, August 6th as thousands cheer them on.
